Shipping Options

Shipping options in Compound Direct play an important role in how orders are delivered, how delivery costs are communicated, and how customer expectations are managed at checkout. Setting these up correctly helps ensure orders move smoothly from creation through to fulfilment, while giving your team clear control over delivery methods, pricing, and workflow defaults.

This guide will help you:

• Create new shipping options with delivery details, pricing, and tax settings.
• Edit existing shipping options to reflect workflow, pricing, or delivery changes.
• Archive unused shipping options to keep your workspace clean and up to date.

By keeping your shipping options well-maintained, you can support smoother order processing and create a clearer, more consistent delivery experience for both your team and your customers.

Finding a shipping option

1. Go to the ‘Settings’ page.
2. Select the ‘Shipping Options’ button.
3. On the ‘Shipping Options’ dashboard, all available shipping options are displayed, including their Name, Description, and Price.
4. To display archived shipping options on the dashboard, click the ‘More Filters’ button, then tick the ‘check_box Show Archived’ checkbox from the drop-down menu.
   1. To revert to the default list view, click ‘Reset Filters’.
5. Click on the desired ‘Shipping Option’ to view it.

Creating a shipping option

1. Go to the ‘Settings’ page.
2. Select the ‘Shipping Options’ button.
3. On the ‘Shipping Options’ dashboard, click the ‘Create Shipping Option’ button.
4. On the ‘New Shipping Option’ page, enter the name, description, and price for the shipping option.
5. If the shipping option should include default tax, tick ‘check_box Shipping is taxable’.
   1. Enter the applicable tax rate %.
6. Once done, click the ‘Create’ button.

Editing a shipping option

1. Go to the ‘Settings’ page.
2. Select the ‘Shipping Options’ button.
3. On the ‘Shipping Options’ dashboard, select the ‘Shipping Option’ you wish to edit.
4. On the ‘Edit Shipping Option’ page, edit the details such as the name, description, and price for the shipping option.
5. If the shipping option should include or exclude default tax, tick or untick ‘check_box Shipping is taxable’.
   1. Edit the applicable tax rate % if needed.
6. Once done with the changes, click ‘Save’.

Archiving a shipping option

1. Go to the ‘Settings’ page.
2. Select the ‘Shipping Options’ button.
3. On the ‘Shipping Options’ dashboard, select the ‘Shipping Option’ you wish to archive.
4. On the ‘Edit Shipping Option’ page, click the ‘More actions keyboard_arrow_down’ drop-down menu.
   1. Click on the ‘Archive’ button.

Unarchiving a shipping option

1. Go to the ‘Settings’ page.
2. Select the ‘Shipping Options’ button.
3. On the ‘Shipping Options’ dashboard, click the ‘More Filters’ button.
   1. Click the ‘Archival Status keyboard_arrow_down’ drop-down menu, then tick ‘Show Archived’.
4. On the ‘Shipping Options’ dashboard, select the ‘Shipping Option’ you wish to unarchive.
5. On the ‘Edit Shipping Option’ page, click the ‘More actions keyboard_arrow_down’ drop-down menu.
   1. Click on the ‘Unarchive’ button.
