Questions

Is Compound Direct cloud-based dispensing software?

Yes. Compound Direct is fully web-based. It does not require an in-pharmacy application server or store database for the platform, and authorised users can access the workspace from desktop, phone or iPad.

What dispensing workflows is it designed for?

Compound Direct supports private, non-PBS dispensing for both compounded and commercial medicines. It is designed for compounding pharmacies, digital pharmacy services, clinic partnerships and high-volume private dispensing.

Can it replace a pharmacy's PBS dispensing system?

Compound Direct does not provide PBS claiming. Its private dispensing workflows can operate alongside a pharmacy's PBS dispensing system.

Does it support electronic prescriptions?

Yes. Compound Direct supports eRx electronic prescriptions and MySL workflows, subject to the required pharmacy, identity and patient-consent setup.

How does real-time prescription monitoring work?

Compound Direct runs an RTPM pre-check through the service applicable to the patient's state or territory. The pharmacist reviews and acknowledges the returned status as part of the dispensing workflow.
